Meet Your Production Team: Bryan Jimenez

Want to know more about who is behind the delicious food in the case you just opened? Meet Bryan Jimenez, our Production Manager at our Dahlia Plant.

Bryan is team builder.

Bryan started at Ready Foods ten years ago and from the beginning, he has had big goals for himself. He joined our team on the third shift, cooking one of our specialty sauces. Hearing about Ready Foods through the grapevine, one of Bryan’s buddies at his gym was a mechanic and told Bryan he should come work at Ready Foods. That’s how it began!

Bryan already had a full-time job, but he had big goals, he wanted to buy a house. This second job, here at Ready Foods, would help him save for the down payment he needed. As he learned how to cook sauces in our kettles, he set the goal for himself to work his way up to being a production supervisor.

Ten years later, Bryan has surpassed his goal and is now a Production Manager at our plant that makes the widest variety of foods. He has moved from cook to line lead, then supervisor and on to his position today. As Production Manager, you’ll still find him at the edge of kettles, assisting in the cooking process or guiding one of our chef teammates in the process he once did.

What has kept Bryan at Ready Foods for the past decade? Like one of our company values of continuous improvement, Bryan is a self-described learner. He says he is “hungry” for knowledge and likes to use his learnings to constantly grow as an individual. Bryan attributes his professional success to the great teachers he’s had along the way, the key people who have shown him the ropes and still encourage him today to expand his knowledge and skills.

As a Production Manager at one of our busiest plants, Bryan’s current mission is simple, but it’s a big one, to build a cohesive team amongst all departments on the floor. A team that is in sync brings him great pride and his teammates describe him as a loyal team player.

Favorite Food We Make: Bryan’s favorite Ready Foods item is our Chile con Queso. He loves ordering a bag to take home and then using it to make carne asada fries... YUM!

In the last ten years, Bryan has learned new roles, grown as an individual, bought a house and even met his wife at Ready Foods. When we ask Bryan what his next goal is, “The sky is the limit,” he says with a smile. He’s working on advancing his education as a full-time student, working towards a business degree and one day he wants to be a Director of Operations or pioneering a whole new position in our company.

So, the next time you open a case of Ready Foods, know that there is someone like Bryan behind each bag of food. Someone who likes working out, playing soccer and video games in his free time. Someone who is working hard to overcome today’s challenges at work and school, while continuing to learn and grow.
